Last week, FIDES had the opportunity to brief Senior Executives and members of the U.S. Department of Defense, Pentagon, and Industry at the Defense Logistics Innovation Forum (DLIF). The focus of November’s DLIF briefing was on AI and Enterprise Financial Transformation, with FIDES shedding light on crucial topics including the importance of data infrastructure, AI 101, and strategically enabling AI for Enterprise Transformation..

Key Points from the Briefing:

1. Data Infrastructure: FIDES emphasized the significance of data governance, cloud technology, and analytics in constructing a robust data foundation. The presentation highlighted the importance of strategic data processes, a dynamic strategy, and modern cloud enterprise architecture.

2. AI 101: The briefing covered fundamental AI concepts, meeting Federal compliance requirements, the acceleration of the DoD’s Return on Investment (ROI) in AI technologies, and the value of leveraging Small Data solutions.

3. Enterprise Financial Transformation: FIDES delved into considerations for applying data infrastructure and AI concepts to drive Enterprise Financial Transformation within the DoD. The presentation included insights from lessons learned in the Financial Services and Healthcare industries and showcased strategic use cases for AI/ML implementation in the DoD.

Defense Logistics Innovation Forum

This DLIF briefing served as a valuable platform for fostering discussions and knowledge sharing on these critical topics with Senior Executives and Leaders at the DoD. FIDES‘ expertise provided added insights to support ongoing efforts to leverage AI and drive financial transformation in the Department of Defense.

The Defense Logistics Innovation Forum (DLIF) was established to foster collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving in the field of defense logistics. The forum serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, identifying emerging technologies and trends, and developing solutions to improve logistics operations across the NAVY and the wider defense community. It seeks to facilitate collaboration and coordination, enhance knowledge management, facilitate senior-level decision-making, and support Action Officers in DoD with better tools for research and planning connected with their missions.

This Forum introduces contested logistics technologies that impact present and future operational concepts and capabilities for the Joint Commanders and Interagency leaders across the spectrum of conflict.
